 Serena Keenan started in fashion co-ordination, styling, modelling & compering parades & store announcing with Sydney department stores in her teens, eventually working with the June Dally-Watkins School in Sydney as a teacher, model and compere in her twenties, In 1988 Serena launched her own school, agency and parade production team, which included stage design in Central QLD.

Serena studied Personal Colour & Image  in 1992 and became Australia's Top image Consultant in the same year!

Serena then commenced further studies in Interior/Exterior colour , interior decorating and design. During the past four decades, practical experience in stage design, balance, lighting and decoration & design has allowed the exploration of many creative possibilities.

Training in Colour Analysis has assisted in understanding personal and environmental colours and colour psychology. Serena has developed schemes for multi-story buildings, private residences and commercial projects and has been teaching on the subject since 1992

As part of the Home Styling Service Serena’s can do the final arranging of the new purchases to complete the look.

Is this course government accredited?

We decided against going down the government accreditation path after consulting with the relevant bodies. Rather than adding extra modules not specific to Interior Design & therefore making our course longer plus more costly, this course has been created to focus only on what you need to learn , in a practical and cost -effective way. A certification with Serena's Image proves you have trained with a well respected provider having worked and offered training in the Colour & Design industries for 0ver 33 years .

The training is industry recognised and students are sent from building & design firms, rendering, tiling & painting companies, property staging businesses and home designers.

This exciting career does not demand a university degree or other academic qualifications in Australia. Learn what the industry requires to gain the necessary skill-set.

By definition you become a professional interior designer/decorator with your first paid assignment. This experience will be exciting and rewarding!

At the end of this course, you will have the necessary training and skills to successfully handle virtually any assignment. You will have an insider’s knowledge of what the market requires and how to go about providing it.

We have a great range in our library of samples and reference material for use on your concept & mood boards.

A fabulous kit is included in the course plus refreshments during lessons.

This 14 week part-time in person course includes a Resene Kit, manual & handouts plus fabric samples etc to create mood boards.

I've designed this course to be practical & in-person which is not so simple with online courses.
